“We’ll just be a coupla god-fearing men punching each other in the face.”
“Can you love your neighbour as yourself, and at the same time, knee him in the face as hard as you can?”
Fight Church is a documentary about U.S. pastors who combine their ministry with mixed-martial-arts fighting. I have not seen the film yet, but the trailer certainly caught my attention at the press conference for the Fantasia International Film Festival. It will be shown tonight at Sunday, August 3, 6:50 p.m.
We’re not talking about a handful of people here, either – the synopsis of the film in the Fantasia catalogue says that there are about 700 “fight ministries” in the U.S. That’s a lot! It sounds like a movement.

Fight Church has a web site and a Facebook page.
